Bleak situaton for West Ham that's for sure. Those fans on their way home now will be really disappointed and will be hoping that Chelsea can do them a favour and take it to the last game of the season. They haven't had enough quality in the forward areas today, they struggled to create and Newcastle were far superior.

Newcastle, meanwhile, are three points off a European place with one game to go.

But they would need a lot of results to go their way to manage that.

West Ham will be relegated on Tuesday if Tottenham beat Chelsea.

A Spurs draw would effectively relegate the Hammers because of their goal difference.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side are relying on Spurs to lose to both Chelsea and Everton - while beating Leeds themselves on the final day.

An important point to make is that it is not over yet for West Ham. Tottenham have a tricky game to navigate against Chelsea on Tuesdsay. They need to hope that it goes to the last day. If it does there there wil be nerves and anything can happen, but positivity is dwindling.
