To celebrate the end of 2005, another chance to hear one of the broadcasting highlights of the year as the Proms sailed off into the sunset for its nautical theme with Walton, Lambert and Korngold.
Sir Henry Wood's Sea-Songs, in their centenary year, had their original bugle calls restored, illustrious counter-tenor Andreas Scholl sang Handel and Purcell, and John Williams performed Rodrigo's celebrated concerto. Plus a taste of the Proms in the Park festivities around the country.
