Ken's profile..."I live in Ormskirk, I was born here but lived and worked around the world. I came back 20 years ago after an industrial accident which left me with several physical disabilities, I also now have M.E/CFS. At 50 years old and disabled I needed to do something to earn money, so I started playing around with my photographic collection on the computer. From the photos it was just a short step into computer art, I now feel my work is up to a reasonable standard. It’s mainly graphic art, but I regard most art as patterns and that’s how I approach this work. So my work varies in style according to my mood. I store my images as digital images and nothing is printed on paper unless absolutely necessary, it not only saves on not wasting paper but the images are easier to e-mail. I am currently unemployed and have been talking to disability art organisations like NADF to see if I can get any grants to help me start a digital design business. Apart from the artwork I do quite a bit of charity work like advocacy, I am doing an Environmental Technology degree with the Open University and have three grandchildren so I’m kept busy!"
