Today will be overcast and breezy with a band of rain moving in from the north-west, this locally heavy. Rain and winds easing through the late afternoon, with cloud breaking up in the evening.

Tonight

This evening will see cloud recede southwards, leaving it mostly dry with plenty of clear spells overnight. The odd shower may linger around for a time, however.

Friday

Tomorrow will see a dry and mostly sunny start. As the day progresses, areas of patchy cloud and isolated showers will develop from the north-west, but skies will tend to clear through the evening.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday

Saturday will see a chillier start with lengthy sunny spells, but areas of cloud and some spots of light rain will feed in from the North Sea through the day. Rather breezy. On Sunday, variable cloud and sunny intervals, with a chance of a few light showers along the coasts. Dry with spells of brightness on Monday, but areas of thick cloud building as it turns breezy later.
