I can't believe it is Thursday already and it is time to sing. I arrive at Gosforth early and I am surprised to see that everyone is already here - keen aren't we?

quoteI go along with it all as I am convinced it will help me become a diva quote

We start by doing breathing exercises, progressing to facial contortions and then end up spitting on one another during the 'Phhhhttt' exercise. I go along with it all as I am convinced it will help me become a diva.

During rehearsal, I begin to realise how much hard work is needed to perfect our performance. I think we sound great, but Gary can spot our mistakes and isn't shy in highlighting them to us. It is very enjoyable but I now appreciate the concentration and dedication that is needed over the next few months.

quote ...if I get a sore throat I now have it on good authority that Port is the best medicine!quote

I leave the rehearsal on a high from meeting new friends and our great singing achievement. Already I am getting geared up for next week (look forward to obtaining my rehearsal CD so I can practice at home). Also there is the added benefit that if I get a sore throat I now have it on good authority that Port is the best medicine!
