I know my solo fairly well now (words, that is!), so Gary wanted me to think more about what the song is about, so I can put more feeling into it. As my confidence with the song grows, I am enjoying it more and more. I can't wait to sing with a full orchestra! First real audience  I would hate them to think I was letting the side down |
Gary must have thought I was doing OK, as he asked me if I would sing my solo at the big rehearsal later that day! "Might as well get it over with", I thought. John Morris (Sing Live founder) took charge of the big rehearsal in Jesmond on Saturday afternoon. This went well again - we should all pat ourselves on the backs, as it is really starting to come together. After a short break John asked me if I would sing Gethsemane. I must admit, it was very nerve-racking singing in front of my fellow Sing Live members. After all, they are now all such good singers and I would hate them to think I was letting the side down. John didn't comment, but I'm sure if there was a major problem he will let me know. Still got a few weeks to polish things up and, with a full orchestra on the night, I'm sure it will sound OK. Fingers crossed! |
