    Woking have signed former England youth defender Zico Asare on a two-year deal from Harrogate Town.

    The 25-year-old, who represented England at under-15 and under-16 level, spent the past two seasons in League Two with Harrogate, who were relegated to the National League.

    He began his career at Fulham and had spells at Oxford City and Maidenhead United before he joined Harrogate in 2024.

    Woking director of football Jody Brown told the club website, external: "He brings a great deal of EFL and NL experience.

    "He still has potential to improve, but already he has many of the qualities we want from our full-backs.

    "I coached against him a few times and saw the problems he caused us, and how he dealt with our play. He always impressed me."

    Woking have completed the signing of Harrison Sohna on a two-year deal from National League North side Hereford.

    The 23-year-old midfielder is reunited with boss Jermain Defoe, whom he briefly played alongside while at Sunderland.

    Sohna, who started his career at Aston Villa, only joined Hereford in February after a stint at Cheltenham Town but has now made the move to Kingfield Stadium ahead of the new National League season.

    "Harrison was brought to our attention in January whilst at Cheltenham, we couldn't do anything then, but I was really impressed that he went to Hereford, got games, and performed at a good level," Woking director of football Jody Brown said.

    "He was in the Sunderland squad with Jermain at one point, and he identified him as a player that could add something to our group, so it's great that we were able to make it happen.

    "Left-footed, loads of energy, a dead-ball specialist, can operate in deep areas building play, but equally as comfortable playing as an eight and making those forward runs and being a goal threat."

    Sohna is Woking's third signing in as many days after the club confirmed the additions of Josh Ayres from Rotherham United and Liam Dulson from Maidenhead United earlier this week.

    Centre-back Aaron Drewe has left Woking after failing to agree a new contract.

    The 25-year-old played in all bar one of the Cards' 46 National League games last season, after joining from Oxford City.

    "We brought Aaron in from the level below and he developed into one of our most consistent performers," said Woking's director of football Jody Brown.

    "We were in discussions with Aaron long before the season ended, but it's important to maintain our values, and the alignment with our longer-term vision, as opposed to being driven by emotions."
