This international break may have disrupted Leagues One and Two but it's been a productive one for the likes of Plymouth and Salford, who have moved to the top of their respective tables.

We'll be back up to full fixture lists next weekend as teams hit the 10-game mark and the promotion and relegation pictures begin to take some sort of shape.

    Bye for now!

Goals from Bim Pepple and Will Evans secured the points for Plymouth at Leyton Orient, a result which takes them top of the pile on goal difference.

Managerless Bradford City - who have been heavily linked with Michael Duff today - drop to second after being pegged back by Reading, who climb to seventh.

Huddersfield are third after their 3-1 win at Burton, who only had themselves to blame for all three goals, and slip to eighth as a result.

  5. 'Lack of physicality' in Bristol Rovers' performancepublished at 17:11 BST 3 October

    FT: Crewe 3-1 Bristol Rovers

    Lee Mansell
Former Bristol Rovers midfielder on BBC Radio Bristol

A very disappointing afternoon for Rovers fans.

Conceding after 35 seconds isn't ideal but even after that, you can't leave yourself open and it ended up being a basketball score.

There was a lack of physicality in the performance from Rovers today - Steve Evans will have to look into that.

  6. 'Fantastic performance' from Crewepublished at 17:08 BST 3 October

    FT: Crewe 3-1 Bristol Rovers

    Graham McGarry
Crewe commentator for BBC Radio Stoke

An all-round fine performance for Crewe. There wasn't much to choose between the two teams in the second half but Crewe got the all important third goal.

A fantastic performance from Lee Bell's side here against a really strong Bristol Rovers side that came here to try to bully Crewe.

  7. Draw 'slightly disappointing' for Readingpublished at 17:05 BST 3 October

    FT: Reading 1-1 Bradford

    Charlie Estcourt
Former Reading FC Women player on BBC Radio Berkshire

Reading are still yet to pick up that first win away from home so they've got to keep picking up points at home.

If we were full strength out there today, we would have got the win. It does feel slightly disappointing but Bradford are a decent side.

  8. Draw 'probably a fair result'published at 17:04 BST 3 October

    FT: Reading 1-1 Bradford

    Mark Bower
Former Bradford City defender on BBC Radio Leeds

You've got to say it was a very even game and a draw is probably a fair result.

If you were offered a point before game after the week Bradford City have had, you'd probably take it.

There's concerning stuff happening off the pitch but the players put in a good shift and deserved at least a draw here today.

  9. Postpublished at 17:02 BST 3 October

So Plymouth are the new leaders in League One, while Salford City sit top of League Two.

Full league tables on the way in the next few minutes.

  10. FULL-TIMEpublished at 17:00 BST 3 October

    Rochdale 1-0 Swindon

Cian Hayes' 88th-minute header gives Rochdale a deserved win.

Swindon goalkeeper Connor Ripley saved his side on numerous occasions before finally being beaten.

A seventh successive away game without a goal for Swindon and a third straight league win for Rochdale.

Kaelan Majekodunmi's late red card for the visitors hardly helped their cause.

Swindon boss Ian Holloway described himself as a 'dead man walking' this week and his prospects have not been improved by this performance and result.

It's taken a while, but Exeter City have scored a goal and won a game!

They were good value for the victory as well - debutant Anthony Scully's strike early in the second half proved the difference.

But in truth Rotherham never really troubled the hosts, and Exeter should have had more after spurning a number of good first-half chances.

Home fans will hope they do not go another month before they next see their side score in the league, but judging by this performance they will not have to wait that long.

Cheltenham could have gone top of League Two but a double from Charlie Warren hands the points to the home side.

That is a third successive league defeat for Fleetwood.

  15. RED CARDpublished at 16:55 BST 3 October

    Accrington 2-0 Cheltenham

Cheltenham's day out goes from bad to worse as key man Charlie McCann is sent off for a second booking.

    Gillingham 0-0 Newport

    A point apiece.

Christian Doidge came closest to breaking the deadlock with his header hitting the bar for Newport.

A Harry Waldock effort just wide of the post was the best Gillingham could muster although they do register a third successive clean sheet at home.

  17. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:55 BST 3 October

    Burton 1-3 Huddersfield

Bali Mumba scores for HuddersfieldImage source, PA Media

The Terriers have ended Burton's eight match unbeaten run at home, though they had some help along the way.

All three goals owed to some dreadful defending with Finn Delap's tame pass allowing Derensili Sanches-Fernandes to slot the opener, which Delap cancelled out with a fierce strike of his own.

Bali Mumba restored the advantage before the break after being left in acres of space and Ashley Fletcher tackled keeper Corey Addai on his own goalline as he dawdled in possession to make the points safe.

Plymouth win at Leyton Orient for a fifth time in six and go top of League One.

Bim Pepple poked home from close range to break the deadlock on 52 minutes and then found Ronan Curtis four minutes later whose cross was headed home by Will Evans.

34 points from 17 away games in 2026, some record for Tom Cleverley's charges.

The O's have lost four of their five home games, however.

  20. 'You've got to take your hat off to a goal like that'published at 16:54 BST 3 October

    Crewe 3-1 Bristol Rovers

    Graham McGarry
Crewe commentator for BBC Radio Stoke

Crewe's chances of a clean sheet are spoiled but you've got to say the execution is excellent. What a goal.

He's scored from so far out - it's 70 yards. Was Tom Booth wrong in where he was standing? You've just got to take your hat off to that.
