Blackpool moved closer to League One safety with a narrow win over Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park despite Hayden Coulson's red card.

The Chairboys lost star striker Nathan Lowe through injury inside 15 minutes following a collision inside the box, which left him with a nasty cut on his foot.

Neither side was able to break the deadlock in the first half, with Karoy Anderson having the pick of the chances for the Seasiders, while Fred Onyedinma came the closest for Wanderers.

Blackpool took the lead in the 48th minute thanks to an unfortunate own goal. Leighton Clarkson's corner kick was nodded past Will Norris by Luke Leahy, marking his 600th career appearance by putting into his own net.

Ian Evatt's Tangerines were reduced to 10 men on 70 minutes when Coulson was shown a second yellow card for a cynical foul on Junior Quitirna.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell in the Blackpool goal produced stunning close-range saves from both Andre Vidigal and Luke Harris in the final 20 minutes as the visitors moved to the brink of safety.
