United have had plenty of possession and have got themselves into some good positions, but have done very little with it.
Dundee took their chance when it came, and some.

That was such a good opportunity but what killed it was Camara's pass, it was far too floaty and slow.
When it arrives at Randall's feet I don't know why he doesn't just hit it with his left foot.

Dundee United and Dundee renew acquaintances on Saturday
The Scottish Premiership fixture card is somewhat depleted this weekend as five clubs take time off amid European play-off fixtures.
But the one remaining top-flight game would be a standout on any given day - the Dundee derby.
Dundee United and Dundee's first meeting of the campaign takes place at Tannadice on Saturday (17:45 BST).
Last term, United got the better of the fixture, winning two derbies to Dundee's one but Dundee netted twice late on to seal a draw in the other match.
In this season's league games so far, United have a point after a draw with Rangers and defeat at Hearts while Dundee lost at Celtic Park before beating Aberdeen.
Both sides went out of the Premier Sports Cup last weekend as United lost 4-0 against Celtic and Dundee were beaten 3-0 by Aberdeen.
Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin has been impressed by his Dens Park counterpart.
"Steven Pressley has done a terrific job in the time that he's been there," he said.
"He's built a really good Dundee side. They had a terrific performance a couple of weeks ago against Aberdeen in the league and, unfortunately for them, they weren't able to follow it up the next week in the cup.
"I love the big games, I always have. Of course, there's a nervous tension before it and you want to make sure you've got everything right, but you have to enjoy being part of these types of games.
"The new players that we've brought to Dundee United, they all want to be involved in these types of big games, live on TV. There'll be a full house at Tannadice.
"There's so much on the line for both teams. As a player and as a manager, if you can't get excited and get up for these types of games, then you're in the wrong game."
Pressley is pleased with Dundee's home form on his watch but wants better results on the road.
"We have shown to be very strong at Dens Park, but we need to do better away from home and that is my responsibility," said the former Dundee United defender.
"There are certain things we must do better and there are certain things I need to support the players better on and put certain processes in place that will allow us to do that.
"We want to be aggressive away as well as at home. There are new players in the building so I have to give this time to see if we can play the way we want to play.
"We won at Tannadice last year, it was one of only two away victories, which doesn't read well.
"They have had some really good performances. They are a team that are definitely playing more than they did last year, the statistics will tell you that, that they are having more ball, more control of games, they are doing a lot of good things.
"Like a lot of clubs in Scotland they are experiencing a really transitional period, but I think it is a really difficult game for us and we have to be ready because they are a good team."

Since the start of May, only Celtic have more top-flight points (18) and wins (6) than Dundee (12 points, 4 wins).
Across the opening two matches of this season's Premiership, Dundee have completed the fewest passes (493) and have the lowest passing accuracy (70.8%). Despite this, only three sides have recorded more shots than their 29.
Dundee United defender Will Ferry will miss the game after a scan revealed a small issue with his groin. Goodwin hopes Ferry could return to action next week.
Drey Wright is a doubt for Dundee while new signing Bobby Wales "comes into the mix". Captain Simon Murray is out long-term with an ACL injury.
