    A leap and a pumped fist by the young England seamer before he is engulfed by his team-mates.

    Rachin Ravindra was just beginning to get going but is now heading back to the pavilion, having offered a flying edge.

    It's a smart catch from Jacob Bethell, his second of the day, taking it tight to the body at gully.

    I've been impressed with England, it's a good contest between bat and ball and they've made New Zealand work really hard for their runs.

    He starts with four dot balls to Daryl Mitchell, before the New Zealand batters take a couple of singles to close the over.

    Valuable runs for Rachin Ravindra.

    He guides Josh Tongue's first delivery neatly past point for four, then two balls later sees a big edge past gully for another boundary.

    Tongue is still bowling handily, his final ball raps Ravindra on the pad.

    Jordan Cox, didn't have much time but he was a little late to it. It's another one of those where you wouldn't really expect the ball to go over there. great technique form him but it was a really, really tough chance.

    Fired down the leg side by Matthew Fisher, Daryl Mitchell goes after it and the ball absolutely flies towards Jordan Cox who has been stationed at leg slip.

    The England debutant dives low to his left and gets two hands to the ball but can't hold on.

    Mitchell takes a single to move to three.

    Matt Fisher was a few years above me at School in North Yorkshire. For a charity event he bowled to some of the teachers and was promptly dispatched for six by the maths teacher Mr Akbar. Glad to see he’s put that behind him taking wickets on the biggest stage!

    Tongue then cuts his final delivery through the New Zealand number four - unclear if the ball took an edge before it died just in front of James Rew.
