The House of Edgar Shotts and Dykehead is one of Scotland's most successful bands, having won the Worlds on no less than 15 occasions, the most recent being in 2005 when they won overall and were awarded best drum corps. The band has been a regular top six contender ever since and has a drum corps seldom out of the top three places in drumming, having won the recent European Championships.

Now under the leadership of new Pipe Major Gavin Walker and veteran Leading Drummer Jim Kilpatrick MBE, the Shotts and Dykehead band has a line-up of young pipers and drummers keen to re-establish itself as a serious contender for the top championship honours available in pipe band competition.
