The Strathclyde Police Pipe Band has won 12 World Pipe Band Championships - six of which were won in record-breaking succession from 1981 to 1986. The unit still enjoys success at the top of the pipe band world - in 2003 the team was crowned British Pipe Band Champions, and they came 7th in last year's Worlds.
