Hey everyone,

This will be my third diary entry, sorry it's a bit late, I've been a bit indisposed with my mates and lots of parties!

You see, I'm making the move to London next week and so we're having lots of, eh... gatherings!

Saturday night, I babysat for my two little cousins Brooke and Abby so my Mam and Aunty could get out.

It was really nice to see them, we sat in and watched a good flick. Then everyone started piling in and we had a hell of a house party. The guitar was out, mates present, beer flowing, brilliant night.

I got a phone call today from a guy called Mark from BBC3, I'm on the show Thursday night. Thing is, I answered the call, and it was really distorted and a withheld number, he said he was Mark, and sounded identical to another Mark I've met.

He said he met me in a recording studio, so I got excited thinking it was Mark Fox from Polydor records who I've spoken to a little. He said he'd ring me back in 10 mins, 15 mins later I decided to ring him... Mark Fox.

"Hi, Mark it's Gary, ... "oh Gary! Hi, how you doin?" " Im fine mate you did just ring me 10 mins ago didn't you?" "Erm, nope, wasn't me" "Are you sure?" (thinking he was joking, honestly they sound very alike!) "Nope, really wasn't me"... This guy's a very busy important man and im tryin to convince him he just rang me! whoops.

Well, it turned out for the best anyway as he said he wants to see me soon, and said, when I'M ready he'll see me. EXCELLENT!!! WHOO HOO!

Calm, be cool, continue...

So anyway, since Monday I've been arranging moving down to London. John McLaughlin has told me he wants to make my album which is also fantastic news, he wants me to record with more producers, and discover who I work best with, write best with, who I get the best sound with.

I have to be close to London to work with these guys so I'm gonna be living on a boat on the outskirts of London!!

It's a canal boat, quite cosy actually, my mate lives on it with his older brother.

I actually write good songs with him as well, his name's Gareth, it was his 21st birthday on Monday so Happy Birthday dude, enjoy Amsterdam
this weekend.

They've said (Gareth and his brother) that I only have to pay for SKY monthly to stay there, BARGAIN! They'll probably change their minds and realise they're being too nice, but for now, party on.

Last Friday, I finished a track with John, sounds wicked. I played all the guitars on it, managed to execute a pretty cool lead solo near the end, I was well chuffed!

So yeah, John wants my album done pronto and we've agreed I need my band sorted v soon as well.

It will help with the writing if I get a good band together, I wanna be able to bounce ideas off people I'll be playing with live on stage, they've got to be feeling it as well.

So anyone out there wanna be my lead guitarist? (the solo wasn't that good!)

Things are moving quickly in the right direction but I want them to move faster, I need to meet up with the likes of Mark Fox, Polydor AR, and have another sit down with Chris Herbet, SAFE Management, I wanna hear what he thinks of my demo's.

In the meantime, I'm being kept busy up here at home, I visited my old middle school yesterday, was really strange. I sat and had a FREE school dinner with my old form tutor Mrs Rumford, she was the dragon teacher when I was there, everyone seemed to be scared of her! But hey, she's dead nice!

I also spoke to my form tutor in year 5, she's now in a wheelchair suffering from MS and it was a bit upsetting talking with her, she started to fill up a little. She was a brilliant teacher, I remember.

I've been invited to go back into the school again this Friday and sing a few songs in the assembly, really looking forward to it.

I might get there early and see if I can join in with the music classes, teach some kids a few chords on the guitar or something! I had a walk around the school after I spoke to the head master, the music room was empty and I had a little plonk on the piano, then I went and sat in an empty class room and just thought for a while.

It's mad, can't believe what I'm doing now really, its easy to take things for granted, and seeing the kids look up to me, asking for autographs in the dinner hall was amazing.

On Saturday, I'm helping out for the Breast Cancer charity Tickled pink, doing a half an hour set, then I'm off to Glasgow to do a gig with Radio Clyde that John has set up.

I'll let you know how it goes in my next entry. But for now my friends.. Adios, "BE EXCELLENT TO EACH OTHER!" (I watched Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure the other night, awesome film, next... bogus journey baby yeah!)

Speak soon
