  1. Deuce on Cobolli servepublished at 16:18 BST

    Fery 6-4 3-2 Cobolli*

Arthur Fery is forcing the errors now. He's asking the questions and Flavio Cobolli does not have all the answers.

A good serve from the Italian limits the damage from 15-30 however - and Fery then balloons a return wide.

Cobolli, though, hits a forehand out of court by millimetres and we go to deuce...

  2. 'Zverev would lock those stats in for the rest of his career'published at 16:17 BST

    Fritz 4-6 1-0 Zverev*

    John Lloyd
Former GB Davis Cup captain on BBC Two

Well can you imagine if Alexander Zverev had lost that game? If he had ended up losing that first set from that position, I do think it would've been huge psychologically but he got through it again with pressure on him.

He hit eight aces and his first serve percentage was 82% - I think he would lock those stats in for the rest of his career, they are unbelievable figures. He will be happy with that.

  3. 'Fery setting himself up to get to the net on ball four'published at 16:17 BST

    Fery 6-4 3-2 Cobolli*

    Jamie Murray
Seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion on BBC One

Arthur Fery is doing a lot of good stuff out there. In the first set, he won 85% of his first serve points which is a great basis for going on to hold serve. He didn't give up the one break point in that opener either.

He is also returning a even closer to the baseline today, setting himself up to get to the net on ball four. He is so quick to pick up on his opponent being off balance or having to take a hand off the racquet. He is using those as excuses to move forward and work his way into points.

  4. Cobolli 'not being allowed to dictate'published at 16:17 BST

    Pat Cash
Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Live

He is not happy, Cobolli. It is not going his way. He is still having a yap [at his box] and holding up a one or wafting his hands in the air about something. He is not being allowed to settle into his game. Not being allowed to dictate.

The tactics against Dimitrov relate very much for this match, but Dimitrov has a bigger serve so Fery has more chances to break here.

  5. Fritz holdspublished at 16:16 BST

    Fritz 4-6 1-0 Zverev*

A huge forehand down the line from Alexander Zverev gives him the first break point of the second set.

Taylor Fritz responds with a huge serve to force deuce.

His back is against the wall but he responds with a nice forehand leaves Zverev scampering and he can only fire into the net as the American takes the advantage.

Fritz then carelessly sends one a little long to send it back to deuce but another ace gives him advantage again.

Zverev then goes long after a short rally and Fritz holds. Just.

  6. Fery holds to nose aheadpublished at 16:14 BST

    Fery 6-4 3-2 Cobolli*

Arthur Fery fails to put away a smash but subsequently gets the better of a battle at the net with a sumptuous cushioned volley.

An increasingly ill-tempered Flavio Cobolli tries to clobber a return around the net post but it's wide and a hold for Fery, who was 0-2 down in this set but now leads.

  7. 'That is the difference'published at 16:12 BST

    *Fritz 4-6 0-0 Zverev

    Peter Odgers
    Commentator on BBC Two

This is a match that was always going to come down to who took their chances. Taylor Fritz is zero from four on the break points, Alexander Zverev is one from two on the break points - and that is the difference.

  9. 'Quite remarkable from Fery'published at 16:12 BST

    *Fery 6-4 2-2 Cobolli

    Harry Poole
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Arthur Fery has shown great resilience throughout this dream run on these courts, just a short walk from where he grew up.

Twice down a break of serve to Grigor Dimitrov in the fourth set before turning that match around in five, there was never going to be any panic from Fery after his early setback in this second set.

But it is quite remarkable both that we have already come to expect that from him, and that he continues to deliver in such big moments.

  10. Postpublished at 16:12 BST

    *Fery 6-4 2-2 Cobolli

Flavio Cobolli is getting annoyed when the crowd reacts to close line calls during points.

It's kind of what happens in tennis matches in front of spectators, though, Flavio?

The Italian tries to channel his anger positively and a big return gets him level at 30-30.

  11. Game and first set - Zverevpublished at 16:09 BST

    *Fritz 4-6 0-0 Zverev

Alexander Zverev starts with an ace as he serves for the first set.

Taylor Fritz just finds the baseline with a great forehand winner and Zverev is long in the next to give Fritz the lead in the game.

Fritz forces his opponent deep and Zverev goes long again to give the American two break points.

But Zverev responds with an ace and, when Fritz returns his next serve long, the German lets out a roar of delight at deuce.

Another ace gives him a set point. Fritz then hits into the net on Zverev's second serve and the German holds to win the first set. Big.

  12. Fery breaks backpublished at 16:09 BST

    *Fery 6-4 2-2 Cobolli

    Simply sensational.

A forehand winner ensures Arthur Fery takes that chance. We're back on terms in the second set.

  13. Break-back pointpublished at 16:08 BST

    Fery 6-4 1-2 Cobolli*

Another Cobolli error - wide with a forehand.

    Break-back point for Arthur Fery...

  14. Postpublished at 16:07 BST

    Fery 6-4 1-2 Cobolli*

Arthur Fery finds the line out wide with a big forehand to punish a short Flavio Cobolli shot to start game four of this set.

But the Brit sends a return from a second serve long for 15-15. He's annoyed with himself for that.

A Cobolli double fault keeps him in the game at 30-30, however...

  15. Fery holdspublished at 16:04 BST

    Fery 6-4 1-2 Cobolli*

Lovely cushioned volley at the net from Arthur Fery to deny Flavio Cobolli a passing winner down the line.

The Briton needs to hold serve here to stop this second set racing away from him.

And he does just that with some excellent, accurate service placement. Good response from the wildcard.

  16. Fritz holdspublished at 16:03 BST

    Fritz 4-5 Zverev*

A really good hold from Taylor Fritz and he will make Alexander Zverev serve out the set.

He drops the first point but responds really well to take control of the game.

A brave second serve puts him 40-15 in front before a forehand secures the hold.

  17. 'Go back to the basics'published at 16:02 BST

    *Fery 6-4 0-2 Cobolli

    Tim Henman
Former British number one on BBC One

This situation is probably more likely to happen with a less-experienced player who hasn't been on this stage before, but it is only one service game.

There is a long way to go. Arthur Fery is still in a very strong position and there are still plenty of opportunities to break back, so no panic. He just needs to go back to the basics.

  18. Fery following famous footstepspublished at 16:02 BST

Arthur Fery is the fifth player to reach the men's singles quarter-finals as a wildcard at Wimbledon - after Pat Cash (1986), Goran Ivanisevic (2001), Juan Carlos Ferrero (2009) and Nick Kyrgios (2014).

Some big names there - Cash won Wimbledon in 1987 and Ivanisevic famously went on to win the Championships as a wildcard in 2001.

Is it really 25 years since Ivanisevic's epic semi-final win over Tim Henman? It is apparently...

    *Fery 6-4 0-2 Cobolli

That break of serve has boosted Flavio Cobolli's confidence levels.

A booming forehand deep into the corner sets up 40-15 - and another one follows.

What a quick shift in momentum we've had on Centre.

  20. Zverev holdspublished at 16:00 BST

    *Fritz 3-5 Zverev

Alexander Zverev starts with an ace before Taylor Fritz can't return the next serve.

However, the German allows his opponent back in the game as Fritz first wins a fine point before a double fault levels the game.

Zverev's serve is strong again and Fritz can't keep the ball in.

He faults again but doesn't hold back on the second serve with Fritz's backhand only reaching the net. Zverev holds to 30.
