The Hamilton-Russell battle royale! When Hamilton is overtaking, it feels like he is flying. But immediately after, the car behaves like it has gotten wheels for riding instead of racing.

That is some of the bravest driving I have seen. I keep thinking of Nigel Mansell when I see Lewis in the Ferrari and he has definitely not lost his courage. He has put himself in very risky positions, trying to get past George and some brilliant wheel to wheel action and if this is yo-yo racing, I am all for it.
The purple stopwatch is parked by Lewis Hamilton's name but George Russell now has Max Verstappen in his sights for third place.
But a radio message comes in to Russell - has he got a slow puncture? Well, it's not putting the brakes on him trying to make a move on four-time world champion Verstappen.

Those drivers that have switched to new tyres are starting to set fastest sector times, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell are now going purple sector times. You do not want to be out for too long if the guys who have changed tyres are making gains on you.
The phone is ringing at Mercedes. It's Kimi Antonelli, who firmly tells his team to not let other people undercut him. The Italian teenager leads this British Grand Prix but is still working those medium starting tyres.
Lewis Hamilton, in P6, is currently clocking the fastest lap on his fresh hard rubber.
Damon Hill 1996 world champion on BBC Radio 5 Live at Silverstone
I am looking at the lap times of the guys that changed tyres and if you look at Russell's last lap time, it is almost the same lap time as Kimi Antonelli's who is still on his medium tyres and not stopped yet.
Kimi Antonelli has yet to make his stop, so the Italian leads the field ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and the McLaren of Lando Norris, who has also stayed out.
