  1. 'Out of character for Australia'published at 19:56 BST

    Australia 0-1 Egypt

    Scott Brown
Former Scotland midfielder on BBC One

The goal Australia conceded is unlike them. Usually they are good at set plays and it's that second phase that they have got to organise better. That defensive instinct too; you end up with a striker being at the back and his first thought is to drive forward.

Former England forward on BBC Radio 5 Live at Dallas Stadium

I thought Australia really came back into the game when they went behind but they are lacking that bit of nous in the final third.

Anthony Popovic will try to address that in the second half, I'm sure.

Some potentially huge World Cup news to bring you.

England's World Cup last-16 tie with Mexico could be moved to earlier on Sunday because of the threat of storms.

Fifa is considering bringing forward the game in Mexico City, which is due to kick off at 01:00 BST on Monday. Forecasts suggest there could be thunderstorms and heavy rain around this time.

One suggestion is the game could be brought forward six hours to 19:00 BST on Sunday.

No final decision has been made just yet, but you can keep across the latest updates here.

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 19:51 BST

    Australia 0-1 Egypt

As Bos gets treatment on the pitch, the referee blows for half-time.

Egypt are 45 minutes from a first ever World Cup knock-out victory.

Worrying for Australia, as Jordan Bos has stayed down after a hefty but fair tackle from Ramy Rabia.

Nestory Irankunda is claiming handball from an Egypt defender as he cannot make enough contact on a dangerous ball from the left, and the ball drops to the keeper.

His claims fall on deaf ears.

Marwan Attia is a lucky boy as he catches Aussie midfielder Aidan O'Neill on the thigh with a high boot, but nothing is given.

We will have five added minutes.

Mo Salah again takes the free kick short and a team mate floats in a cross, but this time see it off.

Salah has been very quiet in this game so far, but Egypt are far from a one-man team.

  9. Salah 'leading the line' but 'quiet'published at 19:40 BST

    Australia 0-1 Egypt

    Matt Upson
Former England defender on BBC One

Salah has been relatively quiet, sort of drifting around that central area. He is almost leading the line at times and then dropping a bit deeper. He and Marmoush are interchanging quite a lot.

    Australia 0-1 Egypt

Egypt win a soft free kick in the Australia half as Emam Ashour is caught in the face.

A second goal before the break would be huge for the Egyptians.

  11. 'Australia have lacked quality in final third'published at 19:39 BST

    Australia 0-1 Egypt

    Chris Sutton
Former England forward on BBC Radio 5 Live at Dallas Stadium

Since the Egypt goal, it has been all Australia.

They have responded well but it is just that little bit of quality they have lacked in the final third.

Our bar in Clapham has been very quiet since the goal. Heaving before kick-off but very subdued now.

Australia are ending the half on the front foot, as the lively Jordan Bos wins a corner.

But again the chance is wasted.

    Australia 0-1 Egypt

Australia are coming out of their shell more now. They force Egypt into giving away a throw in near their own box, and Alessandro Circati launches in a long one.

The ball comes through to Aziz Behich whose shot is comfortably saved - but that is better from Australia.

    Australia 0-1 Egypt

    Matt Upson
Former England defender on BBC One

Australia will be disappointed. They haven't unsettled Egypt yet.

They have to make the game more scruffy and scrappy; loose balls, second balls in midfield and not allowing the control that Egypt are having at times.

The control is giving Egypt a bit of belief and confidence. They are stroking it around nicely when they have the ball.

Replays show Mohamed Hany was inadvertently caught by the studs of Irankunda on his knee during that coming together.

He should be ok to continue, but that was a painful one.

In the meantime Australia's free kick is wasted as Jackson Irvine commits a foul in the Egypt box.

    Australia 0-1 Egypt

Nestory Irankunda has had very little service so far, but he shows his pace to win a free kick midway inside the Egypt area.

He was fouled by Mohamed Hany, and the Egypt full back looks to have come off worse.

As we expected it is quite an open game. Australia started quite well but unfortunately haven't used their set-pieces the way they should do. Corners were quite poor.

The only action in the 18 yard box for Egypt, they managed to score. I don't understand Australia's positioning; they didn't even look behind their back when the ball gets crossed.

    We are back under way.

As with all the mid-half breaks, the managers were giving plenty of instructions.

Will Australia manager Tony Popovic have told his players to press Egypt more?
