If anyone is going to make the breakthrough, it's Portugal. The midfield players are getting into the box brilliantly at the moment.

Croatia look to get on the counter-attack but it's good tracking back by Portugal and they win the free-kick.

Bruno Fernandes' low effort at the near post is parried away by Dominik Livakovic, it comes straight back to Fernandes but is eventually turned behind by Ivan Perisic.

That is a close shave for Croatia. Brilliant crossfield pass from Nuno Mendes to Joao Cancelo.

Fernandes is across the face and Ronaldo arrives but is looking to the sky wondering how he has not connected with the ball.

The difference is the ball comes in quickly and it allows Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo to make those runs earlier.

Ronaldo can't quite get there. It has been so much better from Portugal.

Ronaldo might miss that one, but he will not miss the next one.

I've not seen Ronaldo have a relaxed facial expression in this game.

Normally, when he has a relaxed but in-the-zone expression, that's when you see great things from the great player.

That is a lovely teasing ball from Joao Cancelo on the right-hand side.

Bruno Fernandes is blocked off in the middle of the penalty box and Cristiano Ronaldo can't quite get there at the back post.
