George Alexander fired Hornchurch to a 2-1 win over high-flying Aldershot.
The hosts went ahead after 25 minutes when Alexander's shot was blocked and Dominic Poleon tucked in the rebound from a narrow angle.
Aldershot levelled just before half-time after Nino Adom-Malaki's cross was finished from 12 yards by Hakeem Sandah for his first National League goal.
But Hornchurch won it on the hour when Alexander stole in at the far post to tap home.
