  1. 'Tuchel has been brave'

    I thought the subs were outstanding when they came on.

    Part of that is because Thomas Tuchel has been brave enough to not play Bukayo Saka.

    In previous regimes, we have seen players play because they're the best players.

    He has been brave enough to leave Saka on the bench, he has changed Gordon and Rashford. He has kept them hungry and kept them on their toes.

    You get the rewards of that.

  3. One of England's biggest problems apart from the defence is the wingers. All the wingers are looking better coming on a sub. None of them have looked good starting the match. Congo were made to look decent when it should of been a routine win. Wake up England!

    We all thought it went in didn't we...

    Yoane Wissa's miss late in the first half had an xG of 0.61.

    DR Congo only recorded an xG of 0.81 in the whole game.

    Basically, it was a big, big miss for a team who create little chances.

    I think we need to play like we’re 1-0 down every game. After half time, we played so much more attacking it was refreshing to watch. The first Kane goal may have been a goalkeeper mistake but we deserved at least one of the shots we took in this game.

    Harry Kane loves to head the ball so much that he's now scored four headed goals at World Cups.

    Only Miroslav Klose with 7, and Gerd Muller with 5, have scored more headed goals at World Cups than Kane, since 1966.

    WE WERE CHASING THE GAME. I'd be worried if the midfield and fullbacks weren't pushing on from the defence and leaving gaps. Have to analyse the game in the context of the match, bad first 20mins but that's it, We're through, Relax!

    Not alot of people talking about how conceding early forced us to push forward early, commit players and made us look vulnerable. Hopefully going forward we can start stronger and that will make us look more balanced and solid.

    Harry Kane has now scored five goals in World Cup knockout matches, the second-most by an Englishman, level with Geoff Hurst.

    That is one behind Gary Lineker, who scored six goals in World Cup knockout football.

  18. Kane joins World Cup goal scoring royalty

    If this doesn't show how much of a legend Harry Kane is, I don't know what will.

    Kane has now scored 13 World Cup goals.

    He's now level on the all time World Cup goalscoring list with France's Just Fontaine, and has gone past Pele's tally of 12 goals.

    Come on England. All of the games have been a bit of a patchy, but I think this is the best chance we have had since Moore and Co. You need a bit of luck sometimes. Look at Diego Maradona. Hand of God. Come on Harry!
