Well we said Shea Lacey had had a positive first half and he continues his good work by winning Manchester United a penalty.

His second touch takes him into the box and falls over the trailing leg.

Unsurprising that Amad got just 45 minutes today as he returned for his first minutes after the World Cup.

Shea Lacey, the 19-year-old academy product, has indeed looked really bright in the opening 45 minutes.

Manchester United can probably feel aggrieved that they haven't at least found an equaliser.

Atletico Madrid have barely done anything since scoring the goal but Arnaud Ortiz strikes well from close range and it's a really good save from Tom Heaton.

Patrick Dorgu is played through and he tries to take it on his left foot but it's a good intervention from the defender.

That's lovely down the right-hand side from Leny Yoro. He drives forward, plays a one-two then gets the ball across the box. It misses Patrick Dorgu but Luke Shaw gets a shot away.

Ademola Lookman has not seen a great deal of the ball this half. He gets hold of it then Leny Yoro makes the tackle.

It's all gone a bit quiet with just less than 10 minutes of this one to go.

Shea Lacey is having a superb game.

The 19-year-old just crossed for Bryan Mbeumo to head wide and then almost sent the Cameroon striker through with an excellent turn and pass.

Lacey is going to be elevated to first-team duties this season and it is easy to see why.

His control, vision and speed of passing are outstanding.

A brilliant ball into the box from Shea Lacey and Bryan Mbeumo gets a glancing header on it but it's just wide.
