Cherries finish sixth in boss Andoni Iraola's final game
Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White sent a message to England boss Thomas Tuchel, as Bournemouth missed out on the Champions League.
The playmaker, left out of Tuchel's World Cup squad on Friday, struck in the first half with his 18th goal of the season before Marcus Tavernier levelled after the break.
Gibbs-White was snubbed by Tuchel despite scoring 11 goals in 18 games since Vitor Pereira took over at Forest in February, and celebrated after finding the corner from a free-kick routine by pointing to his chest and holding up both hands to make 10.
It was a clear statement he believes he should be the Three Lions' number 10.
The draw saw Forest - who have had four managers this season - end a turbulant campaign 16th in the Premier League having secured survival with two games to spare.
Bournemouth were chasing the Champions League but results elsewhere meant only the top five in the Premier League qualified, with the Cherries finishing sixth.
Andoni Iraola, in his final match in charge, leaves having guided the club into Europe for the first time in their history though, with Bournemouth in next season's Europa League, while their 18th draw of the season equals a Premier League record.
Chris Wood hit the post for Forest in the first half and Matz Sels denied Junior Kroupi as Bournemouth chased a winner.

Nottingham Forest analysis: Gibbs-White omission could still haunt Tuchel
Proud and happy - Pereira
Only time will tell if Tuchel's decision to leave Gibbs-White at home for the World Cup is the right one.
The Nottingham Forest playmaker and the City Ground clearly think it was the wrong one after the best and most consistent season of the 26-year-old's career.
His goal against Bournemouth underlined his quality and the celebration was pointed while, on the terraces, the Forest fans made their feelings clear in their support for Gibbs-White and distain for Tuchel.
Gibbs-White's 15 Premier League goals this season leaves him as the second top English scorer in the top flight, only beaten by Ollie Watkins following the Villa striker's double at Manchester City on the final day.
Number 10 rivals Phil Foden and Cole Palmer were also left out so there is no denying Tuchel's ruthlessness - the German has a pecking order - with Morgan Rogers, Eberechi Eze and Jude Bellingham given the central creative responsibility.
Eze has 12 goals - five of them coming in two north London derbies - while Rogers started every Villa game until being rested on the final day, with his influence tailing off in the second half of the season.
Gibbs-White, who has six senior caps, has every reason to feel aggrieved but it will only add fuel to the fire for next season.
Bournemouth analysis: Iraola leaves after transforming Cherries
Everything is almost perfect - Iraola
On the final day of last season the Champions League was on the line at the City Ground.
Then it was Nottingham Forest, who had spent so long inside the top four, who missed out.
This time visitors Bournemouth were the ones who could have joined the elite to give Iraola the perfect send off.
It was not to be but that Bournemouth were even in the discussion for Champions League football is extraordinary.
Iraola leaves having taken them into Europe for the first time in their history and with a new training ground and plans to expand the Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth are on the brink of a new era.
German Marco Rose has the foundations to push the Cherries to the next level after being appointed as Iraola's successor, the club acting swiftly in April to ensure a smooth transition of power.
The former RB Leipzig manager will expect to have the tools to succeed on the south coast with the club able to attract a different level of player with the lure of European football.
That platform has been created by Iraola, who leaves after a successful three years in charge and having lifted Bournemouth to new levels.
