National League club Hartlepool United have signed former West Ham striker Jordan Hugill following his release by Rotherham United.
The 34-year-old left the Millers after they were relegated from League One at the end of the season.
Hugill has signed a one-year contract at Victoria Park - with the club retaining the option of extending the deal by a further year - and will officially join Pools on 1 July.
He will be reunited there with former Rotherham boss Lee Clark, who managed Hugill at the end of last season, before being appointed Hartlepool manager on 14 May.
Hugill enjoyed success at Preston North End, scoring 30 goals in 114 appearances during a three-and-a-half year spell.
That form earned him a move to West Ham United in January 2018 for a reported £10m, but he made only three Premier League appearances for the Hammers in two and a half years without scoring.
Hugill later signed for Norwich City, and had loan spells at Middlesbrough, QPR, West Bromwich Albion and Cardiff City.
He had earlier spent time on loan at then-League Two outfit Hartlepool in 2015, scoring four goals in eight appearances, including the winner against Exeter City which secured the club's place in the Football League on the final day of the season.
"I'm absolutely delighted to be coming back to Hartlepool United," Hugill told the club website, external.
"I have great memories of my previous spell at the club, and scoring the goal against Exeter that helped keep Pools in the Football League is something I'll always remember.
"Even after I left, I always kept an eye on the club because it was a place that meant a lot to me and somewhere I always hoped would be successful."
