  2. 'When times get tough, I come out of my shell'published at 22:16 BST

England bowler Sophie Ecclestone: "It is obviously a mint feeling to qualify, we have one in hand and to hopefully finish top, it would be amazing.

"I'm glad I'm not a batter, it was so hot. It was nice to go out there and play when it's not raining though. It has been a rough few months but to be back playing cricket and with three lions on my shirt, I couldn't be happier.

"When times get tough, I come out my shell and I love that."

On what it is like to have Charlie Dean as captain: "It is really nice, me and Charlie have great conversations anyway, she comes to me about ideas, she is a great captain and there has been pressure on her but she is amazing.

"It is amazing to have her come in and it was really useful that we had a few games with her in charge before the tournament.

"We have to go full strength and keep on a winning streak."

  3. 'Fielding is not a huge issue'published at 22:14 BST

England captain Charlie Dean: "It's brilliant, it's what we set out to do today so it feels great to get there with a game to spare.

"It's always pleasing to see lots of different people performing and chipping in with runs.

"I'm never satisfied, I still think I can put in better performances than I did today. I'm happy but always wanting to improve.

"A few catches went down obviously. They were quite difficult ones, but we were getting to those balls when previously we probably wouldn't.

"The fielding is not a huge issue. We are creating those chances. But yeah, hopefully we can cling on when it means a bit more and the game is a little closer. We always want to get better but girls put in a great shift.

"Nat is back in the nets, but I don't know much more than that."

It's not all doom and gloom for West Indies, though. If they beat Ireland on Saturday - which they should - they will be through.

There were some good signs from them, particularly from Chinelle Henry, who struck the ball really nicely in her 29-ball fifty.

Deandra Dottin was also going along well before Charlie Dean turned the game on its head with that wicket with the final ball of the powerplay.

England take on New Zealand in their final game, also on Saturday, and Sophie Ecclestone has just told Sky Sports that she would be "absolutely fuming" if she got rested - so it'll be interesting to see if Charlotte Edwards does make any changes!

  5. 'We came out all guns blazing'published at 22:06 BST

Player of the match Danni Wyatt-Hodge: "I was just focusing on watching the ball, having good energy, and just wanted to back myself and to be brave and show intent with my running. I'm happy it was my night tonight.

"I was trying to target the gap at square leg and they were bowling quite wide of off stump so I had to be quite quick with my movements.

"That was the hottest I've ever played in here in England. It honestly felt like Dubai a couple of years ago. But I enjoyed it, we came out all guns blazing and everyone contributed to a good total.

"We'll talk about it for the next game [running between the wickets], it's always tricky in T20 but we know it's something to work on."

England's 186-7 was set up by Danni Wyatt-Hodge's 65 at the top of the order, before Heather Knight's punchy 43 from 26 balls helped them accelerate towards the death.

Wyatt-Hodge is named player of the match for the second time in the tournament after her century in England's opener.

It has been a very clinical day again for England. We have seen some pretty well-rounded games so far from them.

I am just happy they have not fallen off the wagon, they have had a nice run-out of games.

    England cruise into the semis!

Chinelle Henry's counter-attacking fifty ruined a few bowling figures at the end there, but ultimately the job is done.

They were clinical with the bat, solid with the ball but let a few things slip in the field. Charlotte Edwards will know that needs to improve, but the first mission has been accomplished.

    Huge!

Another massive blow over square leg for Chinelle Henry, as she gives West Indies something to celebrate with a very entertaining half-century from just 29 balls.

    Ouch.

Absolutely nailed back to Linsey Smith by Henry, one of those that either sticks or it doesn't. But it still has to go down as another drop...

    WI 140-5published at 19.2 overs

    Fair enough.

Chinelle Henry might as well finish it with a flourish, as she slog sweeps Linsey Smith for six.

What a shot. If she finds some form in this game, that is one positive for the West Indies as they go into their final group-stage match.

Claxton almost wanted to be put out of her misery, she was really struggling from start to finish and the change in pace exposed a part of her game that she clearly doesn't like.

Not the best outing for her and not the best outing for the West Indies.

Lauren Bell finishes with fine figures of 1-20, and England's semi-final place is all-but confirmed.

Linsey Smith will close out the game.

    Linsey Smith holds on!

Jahzara Claxton's difficult innings comes to an end as she falls for a painful 21 from 34 balls.

It's wide from Lauren Bell and Claxton chases it, but straight to Smith at point.

England have talked a lot about being ruthless when they are in winning positions and they haven't been tonight.

It feels weird to say that, considering how big the margin of victory is going to be, but they've let the standards slip in these closing overs even if West Indies haven't punished it.

Jahzara Claxton takes two boundaries off Charlie Dean, the first via a thick outside edge and the other is a sweetly-timed cover drive as she finally shows some intent.

  16. dropped catch

Henry dropped on 28published at 17 overs

    WI 116-4

Finally some aggression as Chinelle Henry takes the attack to Sophie Ecclestone.

She smacks one out to deep cover for four before England put down another. It's a difficult chance for Dani Gibson, running across from long-on as she's on the move, but she is one of England's best fielders and would back herself to take it.

The last time England dropped more than the four catches they have done tonight was against West Indies in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Unlike that encounter, though, this is unlikely to cost them big.

    Target 187

Bit of resistance from Chinelle Henry, as she whacks Freya Kemp down the ground for a one-bounce four.

It's baffling, though, that Stafanie Taylor is sat on the sidelines while Jahzara Claxton has 10 from 26 balls. If West Indies were ever going to get close to this challenging total, they needed one of Matthews, Dottin or Taylor to fire.

England batted brilliantly and they are likely going to reach the semi-finals with a game to spare.

But drop three catches against the Aussies...
