John Humphrys in conversation with successful people who have weathered storms in their careers.
This week
Tuesday 15th April
Listen to this programme in full
John Humphrys and Shy Keenan
As a leading cancer specialist, Andrew Baker (pictured) does one of surgery’s most demanding jobs; but he’s not working now.
He’s out of a job and nearly out of money – the victim of a set of circumstances that could have come straight from the pages of a Kafka novel. He was falsely accused of blackmail, then possessing cocaine and cannabis; he’s innocent but the court case brought him down.

John Humphrys talks to him for this week's On The Ropes, broadcast just after the Radio 4 news at nine o’clock in the morning and again at half-past nine in the evening. You can hear it any time until next week's programme is broadcast by using the "listen again" button on this page.
