Council clash with community in Vale of Evesham
Why a furious row has erupted over a piece of the countryside near Ashton-under-Hill, described as 'petty', 'ludicrous' and 'a waste of taxpayers' money'.
Our reporter Tom Edwards meets volunteers Frank Moore and Paul Rowley, from Ashton Footpath Maintenance Group, who have downed tools after helping out for decades, and accused Worcestershire County Council of 'trampling' over their work, only to do a worse job.
Worcestershire County Council said in a statement, "this gate was installed in the wrong position, and this has now been rectified. We will undertake an inspection and any repairs required will be carried out.”
