Annual Robin Hood Festival Yes, Robin Hood - fact or fiction - reigned from Nottinghamshire's own Sherwood Forest. Whether you worship Mister Hood or the Walt Disney version was enough for you to put your bow and arrow to rest, you won't be able to escape the Robin paraphernalia all over the city. Once a year this all comes together in what's known as the Robin Hood festival. A great opportunity to have fun with your friends and learn more about the city!
Goose Fair The Goose Fair visits Nottingham in the autumn of every year and proves to be one of the cities largest attractions. The fair spans far and wide and is an absolute must for students in the city. Cheap rides, cheap food and hundreds of nearby pubs... what more could a student ask for?
City in the Park An annual music festival situated in Wollaton Park, which can be easily reached by bus from the city centre. City in the Park welcomes pop and rock bands to perform for students and families and never fails to be a huge attraction.
Nottdance A gigantic dance event in Nottingham that draws people from as far as the USA to take part in a huge experimental and entertaining dance event, where everyone is welcome to muck in. The next Nottdance is scheduled to take place in May 2005.
Sporting Events The local ice hockey teams battle out at every opportunity in Nottingham's owns Ice Arena, located very central to the city. The Tennis Centre, which holds the 'Open' is located just out of the centre, easily reached in five minutes by bus. The Robin Hood marathon traverses the city streets every September - take part!
