Will there be a heatwave this weekend?

It is likely to get much hotter in the south and east of the UK this weekend, because of hot air coming in from other parts of Europe.

The warm weather is expected to continue into next week, with some areas seeing temperatures reaching as high as 33C.

Northern Ireland and Scotland won't be as hot and there could be rain.

But to make it an official heatwave temperatures would have to stay in the high 20s for at least three days in a row.

BBC Weather's Ben Rich has all you need to know about what's happening over coming days.
