'I want to make sure that we get it right'

Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced that under-16s will be banned from a number of social media platforms.

They include apps such as TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube and Instagram - however WhatsApp and Signal will not be affected.

Mr Starmer said that the ban would take effect in early 2027.

Ricky spoke to Online Safety Minister Kanishka Narayan to find out more about why the Government came to this decision.
