Saving the world's first cast iron bridge

Work has begun on the biggest ever conservation project to be carried out by English Heritage, at Ironbridge in Shropshire.

The cast iron bridge was the first of its type in the world, and cost £6,000 to build in 1779.

The conservation project will cost £1.25m.
