English Heritage hires eight-year-old as new executive

English Heritage has appointed an eight-year-old as its latest executive officer.

Thea Hunt beat over 500 applicants for the job, and was able to fulfil her own wish to become a knight for a day.

She will also be involved in events throughout the summer at English Heritage sites. The organisation hopes she will give a child's eye view of history.

Thea spoke to Joanna Gosling about what she wants to bring to the role.
