Are you more attractive to these humming little devils than your friends?

If so, you might be one of the 'mosquito magnets'.

如果是这样，你可能就是 “招蚊体质”。

Mosquitoes are able to identify our body signals from a distance, which helps them select their target. In fact, they do prefer certain types of people over others for many reasons.

蚊子在很远的地方就能识别多种人体信号，并借此选择目标。事实上，出于各种各样的原因，它们确实对某些特定人群情有独钟。

If you have just finished a sprint or a sweaty gym session, you might be more susceptible to mosquito bites than usual. When we engage in physical activities, our body can produce more carbon dioxide, heat, and moisture, which all attract the blood-sucking insects.

如果你刚刚冲刺跑完，或是刚结束了一轮大汗淋漓的健身训练，你就可能会比平时更招蚊子。当我们在运动时，身体会释放出更多的二氧化碳、热量和汗水，而这正是这些吸血昆虫的最爱。

It's for the same reason that people with a higher body temperature may attract more mosquitoes as well.

同样，那些基础体温较高的人也往往更容易吸引蚊子。

Some people may also smell appealing to mosquitoes. There are hundreds of kinds of microbes that inhabit our skin. Many of these microbes can produce different chemicals that evaporate into the air, contributing to our unique body scent. Mosquitoes can tell people apart by these scents, and favour some over others. 

有些人身上自带的 “香味” 也可能让蚊子欲罢不能。我们的皮肤上寄生着数百种微生物，它们产生的各种化学物质挥发到空气中，便形成了每个人独一无二的体味。蚊子不仅能靠这些气味认出不同的人，还会对其中的某些气味有所偏好。

Nevertheless, experts suggest that we should always protect ourselves from mosquitoes. 

但不管怎么说，专家都建议我们一定要做好防蚊工作。
