My father's experiences as an officer in the 125th Anti -Tank regiment R.A.1939-1945 He died in 2001 but I still recall the stories he told, usually amusing, about his experiences during the war. He was a great disciplinarian but always took time to help others in need. I am sure much of this came from his experiences as a POW. Without discipline and comradeship he would not have survived. I have recently found, amongst my father's belongings, the official wartime history of his regiment which was produced by the Regiment Relatives' Association under the chaimanship of my father's friend Bertie Waud and I have used this to help me put my father's stories into context. I was surprised to find that a relative of Gunner Alexander John turner had copied the entire book onto the COFEPOW - The Armed Services - 125th A/T Regiment RA. There also followed a WAR DIARY of 125th Anti-Tank Regiment Royal Artillery
(1st January 1941 to 19th February 1942)
