AFTER visiting a scientific laboratory when at High School, Andy was obviously bitten by a radioactive spider. That incident carried far-reaching implications for he inevitably became - half-man, half-spider.
Unfortunately the attributes he inherited from the spider were the worst parts. For his powers meant that his dad kept trying to squash him with a slipper; his mum kept trying to catch him in a glass and throw him out of the window - and his nasty kid brother kept trying to pull his legs off.
And he moved out of his flat and began living under an old piece of wood.
Andy likes to snack on daddy long-legs. As an antidote, Andy tried to be bitten by a radioactive man - to try and inherit the attributes of the average human. But instead of becoming quarter-spider - three-quarters man - Andy became half-man-half-spider-with-a-bitemark-on-his-arm.
So for the time being he will have to put up with being half-arachnid. And try and avoid being eaten by his partner after sex.
