Book Club: The Adventures of Rap Kid

The Adventures of Rap Kid by MC Grammar is our fifth book in the Blue Peter Book Club for 2026. It’s all about a young lad called Z, who gets teased for only speaking in rhyme, but things are about to change when he enters the Royal Rap Rumble!

MC Grammar is the creation of award winning teacher and rapper Jacob Mitchell, who went viral in 2019 after a video of him rapping the popular children's book 'The Gruffalo' received over 5 million views.

Having struggled in school himself, the father of two credits his discovery of books as a turning point in his education. Jacob believes no child should be left behind, and that there needs to be excitement, challenge, inclusion and, most importantly, fun in the classroom. The Adventures of Rap Kid is his debut children's series.
