How to make an easy cardboard Haunted House for Halloween
🚨 When using sharp equipment, ask a grown-up to help you! 🚨
Collect your old cardboard tubes and carefully cut them into different heights for the towers of your haunted house.
Then paint each tower a colour of your choice. Once all the tubes have been painted, leave them to dry completely.
For the main tower in the middle, download and print out the template which you can find here.
Then, you can either trace around the template onto black card OR paint the template black and cut it out.
Cut out the circle in the middle of the template, as this will become your window. To make this easier, place an eraser underneath the paper and carefully push a pencil through the centre of the circle to create a starting hole for your scissors.
Next, take a square of baking paper and draw a circle that matches the size of the window. Draw a spider's web on it and colour it in.
Now you need to stick that onto the back of your tower.
Assemble the tower using double-sided sticky tape or glue on the tabs.
Now to make the roofs on the towers. Draw circles on some coloured paper. You can use the inside of your sticky tape roll to trace around, and then cut out the circle. (You will need to cut out enough circles so each tower has a roof)
Then, cut a slit from the edge to the centre of the circle, roll it to form a cone, and secure it with double-sided sticky tape or glue.
Once assembled, stick the roofs onto the top of your towers.
When you're happy with how your towers are arranged and secured, if you have one you could use a battery-powered tea light inside the main tower to give your haunted house a spooky glow. 🚨 Never use a real flame candle with this make.🚨
