1975: Worcester's secret sauce

"Worcestershire sauce in bulk, gives off a bouquet which commands respect."

Workers at Lea and Perrins remained tight-lipped about the secret to making their robust condiment, Worcestershire Sauce. Originally made by two pharmacists, the rich recipe combines spices and anchovies in a sauce that complements everything from steaks to hangovers. Other Worcestershire sauces are available.
