Hey there guys, just checking in and saying hi! How's everybody doing? I think I should say thank you to you guys at BBC for running this Diary for me, its really great for people who wanna hear what I've been up.

I keep meaning to do some web chats on my web sites and I actually came very close to doing so last week.

Life on a canal boat
Thing is, I decided to use a fellow boatsmans internet instead of travelling into London to get on an internet cafe... big mistake, the machine, turned out to be the most primitive piece of junk I've used in years and so I couldn't do anything apart from stare at yahoo's opening page for an hour. Not very entertaining, don't try it.

So then, hey, wots up people? I'm in Central London right now, I'm getting some guy to burn off some CDs for me and he's let me use the net for free while I wait. You see, London's not full of ignorant moody and selfish people, they're in a minority.

Must just be my Geordie charm, Carly (my girlfriend) thinks he might be gay and wants a piece, doesn't look it to me and from performing in quite a few gay clubs in my boy band days I seem to have a fairly accurate GAY-DAR. Anyway, you probably want to hear what I've been doing eh!?...

Last weekend was wicked. Not last Thursday, but the Thursday before, I found myself in a really cool club called Cafe de Paris in Piccadilly Circus.

I found myself in the V.I.P lounge then somehow got talking to the Clubs promoter Jamie Starr. Really nice guy, he and his team have a live band play every Thursday with various singers getting up and doing their thang, anything from Rat Pack classics to full on modern Day Rock Songs.

The classics come across amazingly, the band is spot on, the singers are brilliant. Anyway, to my delightful surprise, Jamie starts chatting to me saying how he liked how I was myself in the Academy and stuck my guns and all that, I had a bit chat with him and then he asked whether or not I would be interested in performing the following Thursday, of course I jumped at the chance and rest as say, is History.
