Surfin' the 70s

Tim Wedgwood's "Surfin' the 70s" Show

Like a scene from Shaft, in those sky-scraping platforms, Tim Wedgwood plays the classics from the nineteen-seventies every Monday night from 7-9pm on BBC Radio Stoke - and you can listen again on the web for 7 days ...

If you were hip, strutting around in those hotpants or more hippy in that Afghan coat, then treat yourself to a delectable soupçon of 70s chic again, when you listen to these two hours of seventies delight.
Tim's file of facts about the decade, Tim's huge library of vinyl (you can't request anything he hasn't got!), and the fact that, yes, he was There at the time, means he's the seventies man.

Make your request, and post your comments - just click on the "Surfin' the 70s messages" button in the box on the right of this page.

And - to listen to each show, which is up on the web for a whole week before beign replaced with a new one, just click on the "Listen Again" button below.

Remember when...

Remember... the Doobies, TRex? And feeling the funk?
Were you a fan of the hard-drinking Flying Squad coppers Regan and Carter, who’d chase villains around London in flash cars, shouting "Shut it!" a lot?
Did Jim ever ‘Fix It’ for you or were you more interested in Beryl and Sandra in their bed-sit in Liverpool?
Did you ‘Feel the Force’ of The Jacksons or was it Luke Skywalker doing battle with Darth Vader in 77’s biggest movie hit, Star Wars? Did someone mention The Godfather?
