    As for Aryna Sabalenka, only she knows what happened there.

    She was just two points from victory late in the second set, but the drop-off had already started by that point.

    She made 57 unforced errors, most of them in those bizarre final 13 games which saw her go from complete control to exiting the tournament.

    Yes, Diana Shnaider improved massively, but that match was entirely on Sabalenka's racquet.

    The only remaining Grand Slam finalist in the women's draw - and overwhelming title favourite - is gone.
