  4. 'The way Djokovic dismantled Tsitsipas was incredibly impressive'published at 21:54 BST

Former British number one on BBC One

That was absolutely phenomenal from Novak Djokovic. I've watched him for so many years and still he goes out and produces performances like that. It was so clean, there were so few unforced errors. His serving was on point and his percentages were high. When they got into baseline exchanges his movement was incredible in and out of the corners.

Stefanos Tsitsipas isn't in the best form or in the best place in his career, but the way Djokovic just absolutely dismantled him was incredibly impressive.

No Brits were involved in the singles on day three but there was plenty to cheer in the men's doubles.

Defending champions Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool beat Mariano Navone and Adolfo Daniel Vallejo 6-3 6-0 to reach the second round while David Stevenson and Marcus Willis came from behind to beat fellow Brit Joe Salisbury and his Uruguayan partner Ariel Behar in three sets.

Top seeds Henry Patten and his Finnish partner Harri Heliovaara booked their spot in the second round with a straight-sets win over Terence Atmane and Luca Sanchez while former champion Neal Skupski also advanced.

He and American partner Christian Harrison - the fifth seeds - beat Tomas Etcheverry and Mariano Kestelboim in three.

However, here was no fairytale farewell for retiring Brit Dan Evans, who lost in straight sets to ninth seeds Hugo Nys and Eduoard Roger-Vasselin alongside Henry Searle.

Fellow all-British duos Johannus Monday/Harry Wendelken and Ben Jones/Joshua Paris also bowed out in round one, as did Luke Johnson and his Polish partner Jan Zielinski.

  6. 'I was a bit more relaxed and I felt less tension in my head'published at 21:51 BST

    Tsitsipas 3-6 4-6 2-6 Djokovic

Seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic, speaking on Centre Court after beating Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas: "I like the terminology 'vintage', it is nice because it brings back the best days. Obviously you feel very happy, satisfied and joyful on the court when you are playing this way. Once I got that momentum going two sets to love up, that game when I went 5-2 up was one of the best return games I've played in a while.

"I just went for my shots, I was obviously a bit more relaxed, and I felt a bit less tension in my head in terms of overthinking how to anticipate his serve. His serve was really strong and precise for a set and a half, so one break of serve was enough in the first two sets. After that, I started to read his serve a bit better and he missed quite a few first serves in the third set which gave me a look in on the second serve.

"It was nice to be playing another indoor Wimbledon match, I guess. I'm looking forward to playing an outdoor game, hopefully, in the next round."

On asking a ball girl to cut off a tag in his shirt and joking around with her mid-match: "I guess these kinds of things surface when you are two sets to love up rather than two sets to love down, but Stefanos [Tsitsipas] went to change and I had some spare time! I don't know if she's still around, but I'm sorry if I scared her! It wasn't that great of a joke I guess, but it made me a bit more relaxed on the court! I was just having some fun."

On how good he is feeling at Wimbledon this year: "I'm feeling great. I've said this so many times before that I try not to take these moments for granted when playing on the Centre Court of Wimbledon. It was the childhood dream tournament, I've always said that and it has always stayed as that. I feel very privileged to be walking out on this court at age 30 plus. I don't think it's a cliche because I actually believe it is true, but age is just a number."

Former world number 11 on BBC One

That's the best Novak Djokovic has played since the Australian Open this year. That was an almost flawless performance.

If he can sustain that level for five more matches, there is no reason to think he doesn't have a good shot at the Wimbledon title this year.

An extremely impressive performance from Novak Djokovic. He had a struggle in the first round but he came through that with ease. He went through the gears and absolutely demolished Stefanos Tsitsipas for the 12th time in a row.

  11. Djokovic chasing Federer recordpublished at 21:37 BST

    Tsitsipas 3-6 4-6 2-6 Djokovic

Only Roger Federer (105) has more match victories than Novak Djokovic at the All England Club in the Open Era.

On tonight's form, you'd expect Djokovic to break that record over the next few days.

Match win number 104 at Wimbledon - just one behind Roger Federer in the men's singles.

Novak Djokovic completely outplayed Stefanos Tsitsipas tonight. It was total dominance in just one hour and 48 minutes.

His daughter, wife and entire coaching team are all delighted, as we were watching that. Poor old Tsitsipas got a duffing in fourth or fifth gear there.

You've got to be kidding me! Just replay this point to the kids you coach and just say: 'You've got to play like that!'

This whole game has been a highlight reel from Novak Djokovic, it is a wonder. People say we worship too much from the commentary box sometimes but, when you see the sport that you love elevated to this extent, it is quite thrilling.

This is one of the best single's games I've ever seen. Bravo!

And just as we're signing Novak Djokovic's praises he comes up with a double fault for 15-15.

There are cameras in hands dotted around the crowd in anticipation that the end is close but Djokovic just loses a little momentum and hands over two break points.

Oh my goodness me! This is premier stuff, but not for Stefanos Tsitsipas.

It is exhibition stuff from Novak Djokovic, sliding to the forehand shot and easing a slice over from behind the baseline with a beautiful touch.

    Oh my.

Stefanos Tsitsipas is at the net to meet a drop shot but Novak Djokovic comes up with a wonderful lob to go up a double break.

Djokovic will serve for the match.

    *Tsitsipas 3-6 4-6 2-4 Djokovic

    Sam Querrey
Former world number 11 on BBC One

This has been a very clean match for Novak Djokovic. I know Stefanos Tsitsipas isn't playing at his highest level, but his opponent was hitting very cleanly from the baseline in those last few points. He is doing a good job of returning shots.

His movement also seems as good as I've seen it in the past year or so.

We're getting the full Novak Djokovic treatment. He slides deep beyond the baseline to return a forehand before recovering his feet and pulling off an exquisite drop shot - 30-0.
