  2. 'Not as active as we wanted'published at 19:01 BST 25 April

    FT: Italy 41-14 Scotland

Scottish head coach Sione Fukofuka: "They brought a whole lot of energy in defence and got a few turnovers early. We weren't as active as we wanted to be."

On whether players were tired from last week: "I don't think there was a hangover, they were excited to pay again. It's week three. We came prepared that we would put a performance in today."

What went wrong today: "We didn't get purchase early. There was a momentum swing early, we should reset early and target specific areas. When you have possession it's hard to keep turning over and then making tackles."

Impact off the bench: "Happy with the impact off the bench. There's some young players getting exposed to the Six Nations for the first time and that bodes well for the future. Really happy with their impact."

On facing France: "It's a challenge when we don't have our top line senior players. But a lot of teams are facing that. We will look to rest and get bodies right and look forward towards France and what we can do. We will get a good week of prep, get home to the Hive and play in front of Scottish fans."

  3. 'We came out firing'published at 19:00 BST 25 April

Player of the match Silvia Turani: "We definitely came out firing today and I'm really proud of them."

On playing at home: "It was great playing at home, you take away the travel, which matters. We could really feel the people there it makes a massive difference."

On the first few games: "We've been working on that, we've found the combination we needed. Today we attacked."

On Zanette: "It was her first game, so I'm really proud of her. She was amazing, she has a bright future ahead."

On her 50 caps: "I'm happy every game is an opportunity. I never take it for granted. Great opportunity to celebrate and feel the love of the people around me."

  4. 'Very proud'published at 18:58 BST 25 April

    FT: Italy 41-14 Scotland

Italy head coach Fabio Roselli: "We are very happy it's our fourth week, first time playing with 33 players, I'm very proud. All the effort today we could see it in the match. We had a very good start and created opportunities. It's what we prepared for and finally we put it into the game."

On making improvements: "Yes, again, every time we identify an area of the game, we try to improve and work hard and increase our standard. We trust in the work, we can take a step forward every week."

On the saying that winning is a habit: "The scoreboard is important when you reach it, you have to trust in the process. We want to focus on our performance. We will enjoy one week of rest then prepare against England."

On England: "England is far away at the moment, we want to prepare differently, that at the same time can highlight Italy differently."

  5. 'We will reset and hopefully come back stronger'published at 18:50 BST 25 April

    FT: Italy 41-14 Scotland

Scotland captain Lana Skeldon: "I don't think we are quite there, we have not put in an 80 minute performance yet. You have seen glimpses of what we are capable of across the last three games. We are working to get that 80 minute performance, but it's not quite there yet."

(on the late changes to the lineup): "A reshuffle is different and a change, but it is an opportunity for other people to show what they are about and they did a great job. I have learnt a lot from today, and going forwards it will pay dividends if we end up in that situation."

"The fallow week is a good chance for a reset, winning or losing, we will just reset, recalibrate and hopefully come back stronger."

I think there was a huge energy coming out from the blocks from the Italians, they were incredibly impressive. Their set-piece and determination in defence was brilliant. They made Scotland look average at times. They capitalised on every opportunity they got.

There'll be, rightly, a lot of focus on the team performance, but at least a couple of Scottish players can be proud of their try-scoring efforts.

What a score from the replacement prop!

The ball was moved to the right, then Molly Poolman feinted to the left, sold an outrageous dummy and hammered over the line after an unstoppable run.

The main stand shadow is now reaching all the way across the pitch, only some of the corners are still in the sun but it's still a broiling evening in Parma.

Emma Wassell goes off for a HIA after taking a knock to the throat - the mouthguard system must have alerted on that after her head went back. She trotted off without looking distressed.

Sad to see such a hammering vs Italy. The heat, passionate home team/crowd, loads of top team injured and a new coach… Have concerns that, at the moment and for some time to come, this is a one team world game. It’s sad, despite the hype it won’t attract more popularity.

I think it would be a big ask to beat France. Rachel Malcolm will be hoping to get back on to the field.

I think France are definitely a beatable team, I'm calling a potentially Irish win this evening. There's still a lot (for Scotland) to scratch their heads about on this performance, though.
