New Zealand's stand-in captain Luke Jacobson on Sky Sports: "We started really well and got some good momentum. The Springboks played their game in the second half, which we let them, and they got on top of us and it was a good match up.

"It's been awesome to play over here. They love rugby and have such passion in the crowd. It's the best match up in the world and it's brilliant to be a part of."

With that victory, Siya Kolisi ties the great John Smiit with the most victories as South Africa's captain.

That was his 54th while leading the All Blacks, and he'll be looking to move clear next week in the USA.

South Africa's captain Siya Kolisi on Sky Sports: "Thank you to you guys [the crowd]. Wow, we wanted to say thank you for all the whole year you've been supporting us. The first coupe of minutes were really tough and the lungs were pumping hard but they got behind us.

"We are so proud of the win today and it was a great game, they pushed us to the limits."

Player of the Match Ethan Hooker on Sky Sports: "I'm loving it. New Zealand are a quality team and when they come to the party you have to give it everything. We have so much respect for them and we have to give it our all.

"It was one of those games where the ball came my way. We talk about as a team about giving it everything for South Africa. If I feel like I feel now then I've done my job.

"New Zealand are a team who love to ship the ball. We had to stay disciplined and stay fighting. Credit to them, I love playing against them."

It's all over in Johannesburg and it's a huge win for South Africa!

Wallace Sititi breaks forwards but is brought down by Kurt-Lee Arendse.

New Zealand recycle and are looking for what will be a consolation score, but the clock is in the red.

We're into the final minute. New Zealand have had no answer to the Springboks power in the final quarter.

Two minutes left. South Africa drop the ball and New Zealand will have the scrum, but all that will do is tick down a couple more valuable seconds.

Feinberg-Mngomezulu chips the ball forwards and, being chased by Ethan Hooker, Ruben Love has to dot it down over his own line.

New Zealand have the drop out but it just hands possession back to the hosts.

There's bodies everywhere as South Africa look for a clincher, but they give away a penalty.

New Zealand look to take a quick penalty but the kick doesn't make touch, and South Africa have it back again.

Three minutes left, they're almost there.

New Zealand try to run the ball but South Africa pinch it! They're looking to finish this one off!

Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu is almost over in the right corner but three All Blacks manage to get him into touch as he went for the line.

It's a pressure throw on their own line.

Six minutes left. New Zealand need two scores.

One small problem, however, they don't have the ball.

A roar as big as any try today! Fletcher Newell is offside at the ruck and South Africa win the penalty.
