    Rodrigo Isgro

Argentina reduce the deficit almost immediately!

I don't know if Scotland have touched the ball in this half yet, other than kick off. Argentina hustle and bustle to get down the pitch, and then Tomas Albornoz's kick through sits nicely for Isgro.

The winger still has to stretch to gather, before he bounces his way over the line. The conversion is good, and it's a two-point game.

    Argentina 10-19 Scotland

At nine points ahead, there are no Scotland fans thinking this is done. Not after the autumn.

Tom Jordan gets the second half under way. And immediately, Scotland concede a penalty.

    Hmmm.

    HT: Argentina 10-19 Scotland

After a promising start, Argentine head coach Felipe Contepomi will be disappointed with the way his side failed to take control of the game.

He does have the luxury of a strong bench, with a blend of youth and experience.

Expect to see the likes of Joaquín Moro and Franco Molina early in the second half if things don’t change quickly.

Since Argentina's opening try Scotland have really dominated the game - but as we all know it's 80 minutes of rugby.

They've just got to come out, keep playing the same way and get on the front foot.

The forwards are doing what they have to do, all really positive from 40 minutes.

  6. Scotland with 'lots of positives' in first halfpublished at 21:04 BST

I've been very impressed, lots of positives. The kicking game in particular, how they're winning the ball back and transferring pressure.

The set piece is performing well, they're mauling well, the line out going well.

The most positive thing is their red-zone efficiency. Barring the incident before half time, they've been in three times and scored three times.

    And it's kicking off again!

Unfortunately, this time it comes off the back of Argentina holding up Ewan Ashman a few yards short, and then winning a penalty.

They take the scrum, and just about survive as Gonzalo Garcia is snaffled up on his own line. They take evasive action, and boot it out.

This is what happens when you get in the face of the Argentinians.

You know you're getting into their head when they start to behave like that.

Oh it's kicked off a bit here! It always seems to between these two teams.

Rory Darge was involved, as was Sione Tuipulotu, and - as usual - Zander Fagerson piles in for some Zandbags!

It all ends in a Scotland penalty. Can they inflict more damage before half-time?

Argentina’s scrum comes under pressure again. One of the nation’s traditional weapons has arguably become a weakness in recent times.

How early in the second half will Felipe Contepomi turn to his young replacement props, Boris Wenger and Tomás Rapetti?

They may only have a handful of caps between them, but they are very highly thought of in this part of the world.

    Rory Hutchinson

Scotland get back into the 22m, and leave with points once more!

Sione Tuipulotu crashes through the Argentine defence like a wrecking ball and his teammates pick up the mantle, with Hutchinson spearing over from close range.

Tom Jordan misses from the tee... but the referee gives him another go, as Argentina charge it early. At the second time of asking, he slots it.

Scotland have been really accurate with their defence up until now.

Argentina have made the decision to kick the points which shows they don't have confidence in their line-outs and set pieces because Scotland are defending it so well.

  13. Penalty Argentina 10-12 Scotlandpublished at 33'

    Tomas Albarnoz

Not a good few moments for Scotland. Kyle Rowe kicks a ball straight out and then they concede a penalty just inside their own half.

Argentine fly-half Albornoz steps up and slots it, halting Scotland's momentum and narrowing the gap.

Felipe Contepomi will want to get Gonzalo García back on as quickly as possible. Moyano is a talented player but has been used sparingly by club side Western Force and doesn’t have much international experience.

He hasn’t played more than 30 minutes in any match for nearly a year.

Scotland break down the left and again it's Kyle Rowe who scurries away from his opposite man.

He feeds it to Jamie Dobie outside him, who tries the kick ahead on the inside channel, but there's too much sauce on it and the ball goes dead.

    Pierre Schoeman

It's a quickfire double and Scotland are ahead!

It all comes from the linebreak of Kyle Rowe, who hares down the left and puts Scotland deep into Argentina territory.

Flying onto the ball is Schoeman and on his 50th appearance, he celebrates with a try.

The conversion is missed, but the good news is Tom Jordan is back on.

It was the footwork from Rory Hutchinson, and the ability to spread that pass, which is why he's going to be so key in that position.

It's looking good, I'm feeling confident now.

    Sione Tuipulotu

Scotland hit back through the captain, and it's an assist from the heavens from Rory Hutchinson!

The visitors were building through the phases well and got down into the Argentina 22m for the first time.

Just when it seemed the momentum was fading, Hutchinson stepped inside one and somehow managed to hurl the ball out to Tuipulotu on the wing.

Burke nails the kick from out wide. Parity restored.

If Tom Jordan’s game is over, he won’t be able to emulate his namesake, Joe, who scored the opening goal in the first ever international football match in this stadium in 1978.

Unfortunately for Scotland, they lost 3-1 to Peru that night.
