Cornish Pirates have added a final new owner to the consortium in charge of the Champ Rugby club.

Cornish-based financial advisor Adam Brooks has joined the group alongside television presenter Nick Knowles,American investors Kenn Moritz and John H Tippins and locally-based investors Richard Wastnage, Martin Hudson, Phillip Champ and Anthony Whyte.

Cornish Pirates have been expanding its ownership group with the aim of developing the club and eventually playing in the Prem.

"I am excited on what the future can bring for the Cornish Pirates and the wider Cornish community," Brooks said.

"We are building something very special here in the county and have a great core team behind us, I can't wait to get stuck in."
