Lap 34/70
So now we've got a mix of medium tyres near the front sprinkled with some softs towards the rear of the field.
Charles Leclerc is in sixth place and is now having to pass Isack Hadjar for fifth. The Ferrari man is not happy with the Red Bull man's defending, and he nearly ends up on the grass.
Race leader Kimi Antonelli will claim his fourth win in a row if he can take the chequered flag in Montreal. George Russell's car is cleared, so let's go racing again.

He's out with some kind of technical failure, he grinds to a halt and gets out of the car but he stops the car in a difficult position. There is going to be a safety car which is going to eliminate that lead of Kimi Antonelli. Everyone is going to close up behind him. It will give everyone who hasn't had a pit stop yet, a cheap one to do that.
George Russell is getting out of the car! The race leader seemed to be in trouble around Turn Nine and all of sudden, his grand prix in Montreal is over.
Kimi Antonelli is on a mission to hustle his Mercedes team-mate George Russell at every corner. Both driver have suffered lock-ups in this race, but for now, Russell has the upper-hand.

They [ Mercedes] are pulling away. It shows the difference between the Mercedes and the rest. Right now. I think largely, for the most part of the season so far but even more so bringing the raft of upgrades, many of which that seem to be working.
George Russell leads again but Kimi Antonelli is desperate to regain control of this race. Russell is told to also keep things cool on track, as he keeps a gap of just under a second to the Italian.
The Mercedes team radio is red-hot now as Kimi Antonelli gets back ahead of George Russell after the pair scrap for the lead at the final corner. The Italian is told to give the position back, and he does, but he's not happy at all.
It's Kimi Antonelli's turn to lock-up! The teenager is off the track and goes wide at the hairpin and George Russell sweeps through to once again head the field in Montreal.
Kimi Antonelli retakes the lead of the Canadian Grand Prix! It's another lock-up by George Russell and the Italian is ready to pass. Antonelli leads, Russell goes into second.
Marc Priestley Former F1 mechanic on BBC Radio 5 Live
If you are Russell, you want to keep going out on track until your tyres are absolutely dead because if you leave anything, any life left in these tyres before you switch, you can make a safe assumption that your team-mate has life in them too. If Russell pills into the pits and if there is anything left in terms of performance in the tyres of Antonelli, he'll go and exploit that.
Russell now has to eek this out, keep the lead and not let his team-mate in front and go as deep as he can before they make the decision to come in.
Turn One is ripe for an overtake but Kimi Antonelli can't make it stick. The Italian inches closer coming out of the hairpin and as the pair complete lap 22, the chance to pass may present itself to the Italian teenager...
