  1. A familiar sight this weekend as George Russell is top of the order, clocking a 1:44.715. That's a tenth quicker than Charles Leclerc, who is on softs, but three tenths quicker than Kimi Antonelli, who is on mediums - the same compound Russell is on.

  2. Max Verstappen is clearly getting frustrated, both with the conditions and his car, as he reports over team radio: "If for once this **** car wouldn't jump like a kangaroo, my god!"

  3. The wind is causing some problems now as Lewis Hamilton also has a moment and goes off the track.

    Stroll kissed the wall and says it's just a puncture but I'd imagine it's a little more than that.

  6. Watching replays of what happened to Lance Stroll and he clipped the inside wall and was urged to stop the car safely by his team.

    Max Verstappen locks up at Turn 13 and goes down into the run off area. He spins his Red Bull and gets back going again.

    There's a problem for Lance Stroll as he has come to a stop on the track. He clearly can't get going again and is climbing out of his car.

  9. Now Kimi Antonelli goes fastest of all with a 1:45.046 set on mediums, 0.05s quicker than Lewis Hamilton.

    Pirelli suggest there's half a second pace difference between the medium ans soft tyres so that's a very good showing from Max Verstappen who is just two tenths behind Lewis Hamilton on the softs.

    Red Bull and McLaren quite close in pace, Ferrari probably a little further back and Mercedes ahead.

  13. All change at the top now as Lewis Hamilton, on softs, goes fastest with a 1:45.093. Charles Leclerc is second quickest, two tenths back.

    Red Bull's Max Verstappen is third, also two tenths off Hamilton's time but his has been set on mediums.

    George Russell is fourth quickest on mediums, just 0.05s slower than Verstappen.

  14. Kimi Antonelli and George Russell are both on mediums and go third and fourth fastest respectively.

    There's a brief wave of the yellow flags as Pierre Gasly goes off.

  15. Arvid Lindblad reports that grip is "super low", which may be because of the stronger wind the drivers are having to contend with today.

    The McLaren mechanics were just checking that the permanent fixes they made to Lando Norris's car had stuck overnight to sort those reliability issues they had during FP1 and FP2 yesterday.

  17. Lewis Hamilton briefly topped the timesheet but he's been nudged off by team-mate Charles Leclerc, who does a 1:45.564, six tenths quicker than Hamilton.

    Mercedes were keen to practise a double stack when they came into the pits in case of a safety car or VSC in the race.

  19. McLaren have brought some major upgrades here, but they had a troublesome day yesterday with issues for both drivers.

    Lando Norris went back in after his out-lap, but Oscar Piastri is staying out there on mediums. Norris was on softs.
