Max Verstappen has done things the hard way today. After a 360 spin at the start of this race, the Dutchman, after his safety-car pit stop, is picking off targets one by one. His latest victim is the Williams of Alex Albon, and now Verstappen is in the points in ninth spot.

Anyone in the top four [winning the race], maybe Max? I don't know. I mean, don't forget we have rain on the way, potentially. It's there, lurking, threatening. It may make an appearance. Max in in 12th place, he is going to play a part later on when everyone starts doing pit stops.
George Russell has been on the radio to Mercedes to vent his frustrations while his younger team-mate muscles his way back into second place. Lando Norris is pulling away from Kimi Antonelli now and is two seconds clear of the 19-year-old after starting in fourth.
I have to say that we have been saying how unlucky George Russell has been this year but one criticism that we can make of him is his race craft has not been great in both China and Japan. It was feeling like he hadn't got the best of it and it looked like again that he got caught up by Piastri in the restart. He was just behind his team-mate but now they have a car between them.
And now Charles Leclerc is in trouble from the Mercedes of Kimi Antonelli. The two drivers battle at the start of lap and it's the Italian who has more boost in his pocket and passes the Ferrari for P2.
Meanwhile, Max Verstappen is climbing up the field and is now in 11th place.
The lead has changed hands once again! Lando Norris won the sprint on Saturday and now the world champion is on top once again. The upgraded McLaren has a bit more pace than the updated Ferrari and Charles Leclerc has to settle for second place.
Charles Leclerc makes his move and stays ahead of Lando Norris at the restart. Kimi Antonelli is third but George Russell has come under pressure from Oscar Piastri.
The Australian spies a chance to pass the Mercedes man through the opening corners and the overtake sticks. P4 for Piastri, Russell drops to fifth.

Max has done something very interesting. He looks to me like he has decided, OK listen, we've taken a knock by getting bumped down the back. It is too early to go to a new set, let's say there's heavy rain, he might be in a good position, that might be a smart move. He's put the hard tyre on and can go the long way now. He's done something different again, we will see how it pans out.
Charles Leclerc continues to head the field behind the safety car in the Ferrari. Can the Monegasque driver bank his first win of the season? And the Italian team's first victory in ages?
The safety car is coming in, so Leclerc has decisions to make as to when to go again...
Lawson has come into the pit lane. He has now retried that car. Hulkenburg and the Audi have come back into the pits. I wonder if they're going to retire that car, that is the question.
