Not much I can tell you about the current-day iterations of the Mexico and South Africa national teams, but you can bet your hoose I'll be watching.

Who else is? Certainly hits different knowing Scotland are there.

Elsewhere, Morocco have had to make two late changes to their World Cup squad.

They have replaced experienced central defender Nayef Aguerd and left winger Abde Ezzalzouli with Marwane Saadane and Amine Sbai before their opener against Brazil on Saturday.

Ezzalzouli went off at half-time in Sunday's 1-1 warm-up draw with Norway after a collision with a team-mate.

The Real Betis star scored 15 goals and provided 13 assists for the Seville club this season. That's a huge blow to lose him.

And former West Ham centre-back Aguerd, 30, has missed the past three months of action with Marseille because of a groin problem.

Sbai, capped once, is a 23-year-old winger with French club Angers, while Saadane, 34, plays in Saudi Arabia for Al Fateh.

Noussair Mazraoui was forced off with a shoulder knock against Norway, but the Manchester United defender is expected to be fit to face Brazil in New Jersey.

While we all cross our fingers that Scott McTominay recovers sharp, Scotland team-mate Ryan Christie was a guest on The Wayne Rooney Show and the pair discussed the Napoli player's influence.

Man Utd great Rooney can't quite believe his former club let the midfielder go two summers ago.

The way these players are speaking, you really get the sense they are done with the 'Scotland are here for the party' schtick.

They really want to make an impact at these finals.

That is all from Mr Kenny McLean.

Judging by those comments, they perhaps seem unsure whether Scott McTominay has eaten something dodgy or whether it's a bug.

Let's hope for the former.

Scotland midfielder Kenny McLean: "We want to make a stamp in this competition. First thing's first we start with Haiti, we don't want to look too far ahead.

"Looking beyond this, there's a lot in place. We have a lot of young boys coming through.

"Twenty-eight years was way too long, it's not going to be that long again."

Scotland midfielder Kenny McLean: "We had that amazing night six months ago, but we need to focus on the here and now.

"We know how special this can be for us. We know we're in a good place to create more memories.

"We know it's about what we do and we have everything in place be as good as we can be, create more history and create they memories again."

Scotland midfielder Kenny McLean is asked why head coach Steve Clarke is wearing a tracksuit in sweltering heat.

"You can be the one that questions what he's wearing," he jokes. "That's his decision."

Scotland midfielder Kenny McLean: "Since we've met up, we know what we're building up to. But the experience has been amazing.

"Every time I see someone sitting up here they say how good it is being away with this group of lads - and it's honestly incredible.

"We've got one job in hand and we're here to take care of business."

Asked if the team are in the best shape they can be mentally, Scotland midfielder Kenny McLean adds:"I think so. There have been a couple issues the past couple of weeks, but that's pretty normal after long seasons.

"We've looked after ourselves as best as we could. Everybody is in great shape. The training has been amazing, intense when it's had to be, chilled when it's had to be."

"It's a team effort and always will be, but when you have special, special players like that you want them to be available. I'm sure he will be.

"This is the one the main focus is on right now. There's a lot of expectation, we put a lot of expectation on ourselves.

"We'll look to go there and win the game."

"There's more to come - we believe and I believe. Preparation has been amazing, couldn't have gone any better.

"We need to maximise the opportunity we've got."

"Mines is alright thankfully," he says. "Hopefully that doesn't spread. Fingers crossed Scott will be fine. I'm sure he will be"

Still cannot believe what we watched that night.

For a player that has faced so much unfair scrutiny over the years, it is bonkers how many moments Kenny McLean has been responsible for.

I might not be so nice if he keeps us waiting much longer.

We have been told the Napoli man has an upset stomach. He should hopefully be OK soon.
