Don't know about you but I'm quite looking forward to tomorrow's game.

England

England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford on Croatia's strikers: "I think we always analyse them and it wasn't long ago since we played them and they have a new manager. They've always got players coming from the bench that pose threats. We've got to be wary of the best version they are going to bring and bring our best version."

England

Jordan Pickford on Harry Kane's Ballon d'Or chances: "I think he is right in the mix for it, the standards he has for himself and the goals he has scored are second to none, his all-round character as a lad is a great example to anyone in football to set the standards he does, that's why he gets the rewards. I'd love nothing more to see him lift the Ballon d'Or. I think it would be a credit to him and his family and all the work they have done. It will be great for Harry if he gets it. It could be a great couple of months for the skipper and it's fully deserved. Hard work pays off, that's the message."

England

Jordan Pickford on his international future: "I'm 32 now, you see keepers playing still at 40, still playing at the highest level. It's about me focusing on myself; I set myself my own goals.

"I want to push boundaries and keep improving and keep going to be the best version of myself. I'll never stop until I stop. I'm not slowing down, I think I'm only getting better."

England

England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford reflecting on the World Cup game against Croatia: "Yeah I think it's visible to see how aggressive we were in the second half against Croatia at the World Cup and we didn't let our foot of the gas. I think it was a bit edgy first group game of the World Cup. It was always going to be a bit cagey, we wanted the second half to be the first half because of the standards we set ourselves.

On defending: "I think for me in the World Cup, every nation has to qualify and get through a process and you're playing against different threats. I think it's not too bad but we want more. Little bit more focus on keeping cleaning sheets and giving the opportunity to go forward but we are playing on a front foot basis now and it's more enjoyable."

England

England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, speaking on competition for the number one shirt: "I feel for me personally it's always good to have good competition, I've always said in interviews I've always wanted that competition. We have a good crop of goalkeepers coming through and it's a credit to England to have that and may it continue for longer.

"I'll always push myself at the club to be the best version of me and keep getting those caps. You can't let your foot off the gas at any time you want to push yourself to be who you want to be."

England

More from England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford on facing Croatia: "I think it's always a good competitive match, we know we lost in the 2018 World Cup against them.

"But we are looking past recent history and we have always played well against them. You're always going to be against good competition at pot one in the Nations League; it's about being the best version of us."

England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, speaking before the Nations League match against Croatia: "We have a few more fans tomorrow, school kids and some England hardcore fans coming over. Now playing Croatia, it's different, it just shows tomorrow is about us, doing what the manager wants and executing that blueprint. Being the best version of us we can be.

"Since we started playing Croatia a few years ago, it's quite regular. They've always been a great nation with great players at a high level. Luka Modric is still playing and credit to him. They've got new young players coming through, credit to them it will be a good game tomorrow."

Asked about Harry Kane's chances of winning the Ballon d'Or, Jordan Pickford says "he's right in the mix for it" and adds that "he'd love nothing more than to see him lift the Ballon d'Or".

On his international future, Jordan Pickford says he's still young for a keeper. He wants to "keep pushing boundaries and improving".

On England conceding a high volume of goals, Jordan Pickford puts it down to playing against "top nations".

He wants a "little bit more focus" on clean sheets but playing on the front foot is "more enjoyable".

On England's performance in the World Cup against Croatia being positive, Jordan Pickford says the second half was the "standard they set themselves" and it was a "top 45".

England

England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, speaking on not being a part of England's games against Spain and Czech Republic: "Yeah it is not often I do that. Club and country. The manager told me the reasons why. It was good for me to see where I'm at. It's about me being a good teammate with good energy around the place and train well and have that leadership role. I think I've done it really well over the last two games.

"It's not normal for me, but first and foremost, the manager asks to be the best teammate. I love playing but if I'm watching, I just want the best for England and that's to win and I think I dealt with it really well.

"It was different, but we have also been together in a cycle now for two years. Trafford started really well for Leeds. It's been a good unit around us for the last two years. That's what the manager said and you have to respect that decision."
